Piano Express® Summer Camp
Our Piano Express Summer Camps will deliver impressive results for your child across many essential areas of musical fluency. Students come out of camp a stronger listener, reader, collaborator, and all around pianist plus have renewed enthusiasm for their one-on-one or group piano lessons. Camps use the award-winning Piano Express curriculum - a gamified approach that makes learning fun!
What is Piano Express Summer Camp?
Piano Express is a gamified, goal-oriented musical experience utilizing technology & teacher instruction that propels students to advance quickly.
The camp is broken into rotations of Assessment, Discovery Time, and Arts.
During Assessment Time, students work individually at their keyboard with a Chromebook, headphones, and music to pass their music with correct notes and rhythms.
During Discovery Time, students collaborate as a small group, working on technique, theory, improvisation, sight-reading, and ear-training. This hour-long class caters to introverts and extroverts, grade-school students, and beyond. Students move faster, have more fun, practice more, and develop life-long music-making skills!
During Arts Time, students design crafts and engage in creative activities with other campers to provide additional enrichment seperate from piano activities.
A break is also provided midday for lunch and supervised outdoor time (weather permitting). Campers are to bring their own lunch and snack each day. Pizza is provided for lunch on the final day of each camp (Friday).
Camps are Monday-Friday from 9AM-3PM for ages 6-12 years old.
