Gabe Ravel

Gabe Ravel is currently a freelance classical and jazz bass player in the greater DMV area. He received his bachelor's degree from James Madison University where he studied classical bass performance with a minor in jazz studies.

As his career develops, Gabe has had opportunities to perform with community orchestras, such as the Waynesboro Symphony, and at various venues for live jazz events.In addition to performing classical and jazz music, Gabe enjoys being a pit musician for opera and theater shows.

He has been able to supplement his education with summer music festivals such as the NSO’s Summer Music Institute, Sewanee SMF, and most recently, the Skidmore Jazz Institute. Gabe is constantly trying to grow as a musician and he eagerly seeks out opportunities for artistic development.

Throughout his private instruction, Gabe will aim to encourage creativity, foster growth, and tailor lessons to suit each child's unique strengths and interests.
