Jaime Soutos

Hey there! My name is Jaime Soutos and I’m an elementary string teacher in Fairfax County. I grew up playing violin as my mom’s whole side was musical. In addition to violin, I picked up trumpet my second year of high school and continued ever since. I absolutely love music and teaching it to my students, as I have been involved with the fine arts my entire life. This past May, I graduated from the Penn State School of Music with my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education! I plan to start classes for my master’s degree in the near future. At Penn State, I was involved in a handful of orchestral and band settings, both for performing and teaching. In addition, I attended the 2022 PMEA All-State Conference and the 2024 ASTA National Conference. Even though I am a brass player, my heart belongs to the string family therefore, I’m very excited to be joining the string staff at Potomac Music!
