Jessica Suchecki
Jessica Suchecki (soo-het-ski) has been a strings teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools since 2019. As an elementary strings teacher, she serves students from 4th to 6th grades on violin, viola, cello, and bass.
Originally from Florida, Jessica earned her Bachelor’s of Music Education from Florida International University in Miami, FL. She worked as a general music teacher in Miami-Dade Public Schools for three years before relocating to the DC area.
Besides teaching orchestra and general music, Jessica has experience teaching group and private lessons on violin, viola, cello, bass, and ukulele, as well as early-childhood music classes. She also has worked in summer camp programs since 2010, working with students from ages 4-13, teaching various arts and music classes, ranging from ukulele and musical theater, to watercolor and hand lettering.
A member of the Northern Virginia Ukulele Society, and a previous member of the Northern Ukulele Ensemble, Jessica has experience playing a variety of styles of music on the ukulele, including improvisation. She has performed with the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra in Ft. Lauderdale, worked as a gigging musician for weddings and parties in the Miami area, and is a current violist in the Northern Virginia Community Orchestra.
