Justin Daniels

Justin Daniels has been dedicated to the violin for over 25 years.  First beginning studies with Fort Smith Symphony violinist and instructor Ruth Carillo in North Texas while attending Austin Academy for the gifted and talented, a passion for music and the art of the violin was born at a young age.  Throughout grade school, Justin also studied with esteemed professionals including Arthur Busby, and Dr. Phillip Lewis, one of the last surviving students of famous pedagog Ivan Galamian.  During this time, Justin founded the Sarabande String Quartet, performing in dozens of weddings, corporate events, and charity concerts.

After acceptance into the University of North Texas for a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance, Justin began studying with the esteemed Professor Julia Bushkova, whose presence in the violin world stretches across the globe, being a renowned soloist as well as a legendary educator teaching in festivals, masterclasses, and clinicians from throughout America to Europe and Asia.  Justin also studied with Juilliard Professor in Early Music Studies Cynthia Roberts while studying and performing in the UNT Baroque Orchestra with Professor Paul Leenhouts.  After completing his Bachelor’s Degree, Justin continued his studies for a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance.  Throughout his UNT career, Justin performed in numerous recitals, Symphony Orchestra and Baroque Orchestra concerts, as well as small ensemble Chamber concerts.

Justin began teaching in 2011, bringing an excitement and love for music and the violin to each of his students.  His teaching methodology reflects that of the pedagogues Justin studied with and is complimented by a determination to instill a motivation for music study fueled by genuine enjoyment and curiosity for music and the violin.  Justin has taught students through private lessons, group classes, and master classes in the Dallas area.

Justin recently moved to Virginia from Texas with his wife, who won a position performing clarinet with the Marine Corps stationed in Quantico.  Justin is an active orchestral violinist, performing with Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia, Waco Symphony, Irving Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, and the Orchestra of New Spain.
