Nate Casey is a resident of Springfield, Virginia and is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Music in Saxophone Performance at George Mason University, where he studies with Professor Ed Fraedrich.

Just like he was inspired to become the best saxophonist he could be by his mentors, he hopes to make a positive impact in his community by motivating the next generation of students to become accomplished musicians! He teaches all levels of saxophone, while also focusing on aural skills and music theory.

Nate is a member of Capital Wind Symphony, the Penumbra Saxophone Quartet, and occasionally plays in various community ensembles in Northern Virginia like the Manassas Symphony.

Frequently, Nate performs in the College Quartet Series at the annual International Saxophone Symposium. In 2024, he also performed in masterclass for international soloist Valentine Michaud.

He often teaches sectionals in both Fairfax County and Prince William County.Besides saxophone, Nate has studied piano for seven years. Outside of music, he enjoys learning about new things like aerospace, aviation, birdwatching, computer science, and robotics.
